Contact Information

Our Appointments Team have a dedicated and caring approach to finding you the earliest appointment possible with a top Breast specialist.

Most patients are referred to us by their GP or another medical specialist as a referral letter is often needed before an appointment can be confirmed.

If you do not have a GP we can give you advice on which course of action you should take, given your location and individual circumstance.

If you have medical insurance (e.g. Bupa, Axa PPP, Norwich Union), you will need to contact your insurer to get authorisation for any treatment. In most cases this will necessitate a referral letter from your GP.

Our Charity

The Hospital of St John & St Elizabeth is a charity. This means that every time you visit our hospital for treatment you are helping someone less fortunate than yourself.

At our world-renowned organisation our aim is to care for the sick and then use the profits to fund our on-site hospice and clinics. Our key objective is to make sure that the patients we treat receive the support and care they need in an environment that is safe and secure. We pride ourselves on offering the very highest standards of care to whoever seeks it.

As a charity, we must operate on a not-for-profit basis and our assets are used for charitable purposes.

Specialist Imaging

At our Breast Clinic, Consultant Radiologists with specialist expertise in breast imaging are available to report mammograms and perform ultrasound examinations.

We offer the following screening services:

Our Full-Field Digital Mammography system offers our patients shorter examination times, lower radiation doses, and excellent image quality.

Ultrasound is widely used in the assessment of Breast conditions. Our high resolution colour doppler ultrasound scanner is used for detailed examinations of specific breast abnormalities and as guidance for core biopsy and fine needle aspiration of breast abnormalities.
